As a Senior UX Designer, you’ll focus on designing products to create best-in-class solutions to meet user needs. This role works closely with others to define product requirements and transform them into intuitive digital product experiences. Using collaboration, research, and design thinking, the Senior UX Designer plays a key role in advocating for our users and applying a user-centric approach to ensure the products we build enable customers to achieve their goals.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, internal and external subject matter experts, and other key stakeholders to define application requirements
• Design intuitive solutions using UX research and design processes
• Create wireframes and high-fidelity mockups with detailed interaction requirements for new products and/or feature enhancements to existing products
• Conduct UX research including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing (and use results to inform design decisions)
• Iterate on designs based on internal and customer feedback
• Support multiple development teams and products bringing research insights and the voice of the customer to the collaboration process
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of UX design process
• Support research efforts to continuously refine the overall design direction of our products
• Design and improve the usability of components within our digital design system
• Mentor other designers to ensure consistency of designs and interactions across products
• Other duties as assigned

YOUR COMPETENCIES

• Solid understanding of user-centered design, research techniques and user interface design patterns including accessibility standards
• Ability to determine the research method or design deliverables needed to best communicate design decisions
• Experienced in conducting various types of user research (includes leading user interviews)
• Strong problem solving, collaboration and communication skills
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Proficiency with design software such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, InVision and/or other prototyping tools
• Knowledge of and ability to follow UX best practices and up-to-date understanding of UX trends, techniques, and technologies
• Ability to work collaboratively with design, product management, development, and other key individuals/groups such as marketing and sales
• Self-driven individual who can manage multiple projects without supervision and is passionate about using research and design to improve our customers’ experience with our products

YOUR EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Experience Design, Digital Communications, Multimedia, Graphic Design or related field
• 6+ years of experience in the software development field designing digital experiences
• Experience implementing and improving a design system
• Knowledge of front-end development technologies including HTML & CSS preferred, WPF and XAML experience will get special consideration.
• Experience with the Agile/Scrum development process
